The Original Trilogy / Re: Bossk?
« on: July 10, 2003, 02:07 PM »
You can see Bossk in a quick shot on the Sail Barge standing around Jabba. I'm pretty sure its the scene where Jabba pulls Leia back from the window. He's standing by a pole or column or whatever the hell those things are in the sailbarge. I think he's next to Ree-Yees or J'Quille or one of those guys.

Angry Ewok, I think you're thinking of the Sauron alien, like the ones in the Cantina.

I just like to assume the Dresselians were spread out over the forest sniping Imperial Patrols.

And Han does say something about meeting up at the shield generator at some specific time, so they probably just camped out somewhere until then.

I'm really happy to see Wookiees fighting in Episode 3. Its really something I've wanted to see since I first saw Chewbacca. Also, I heard there was a casting call for tall men, so I'm sure we'll see a bunch of actual wookiee costumes rather than all CGI.

So freakin psyched.  ;D ;D ;D ;D

since when are Jedi slaves to fashion? Can we expect Mace Windu to sport some bigass afro?

Admit it, its what you've wanted all along...

Well, I think there are many factors. Some pertain to the figures themselves, while others pertain more to the company's handling of the line.

Pertaining to Figures

*No more action features (which is something Hasbro seems to have recognized and is starting to phase out). Too many figures that we've been waiting for have been tarnished or even ouright ruined by action features.

*No more action stances. I have my collection displayed on shelves, and there is such a noticeable chaos to the AOTC figures because everyone, it seems, is in a dynamic pose. I really prefer Anakin secret ceremony and Aayla Secura becase they can be posed either statically or dynamically.

*Increased articulation. Granted, we don't need a bunch of Senators with Kung-Fu grip, but the major characters should have a wide range of poseability. Padme Droid Factory is a good example of a fully articulated figure. This figure is fun because its not limited by its pose.

*Bring Deluxe back to its Glory Days. Remember when the deluxe figures would be figures with accessories from the movie that were too big for a regular card? We got some really nice pieces like the Imperial Probe Droid and the E-WEB (which was a novelty at the time). I like deluxe figures that are like actual props from the set. No more Force Flipping Garbage.

Pertaining to The Company

*Advertise. This isn't 1980. I'd love to think that Star Wars is on the mind of every kid across the globe, but its not. There's alot of options for kids (and us) to buy, and Star Wars really needs to be put back in the forefront.

*Get a good slot for the Clone Wars cartoon (I know, this isn't Hasbro). If Cartoon Network plays this late at night, they might as well not play it at all. And while we're on the subject...

*Push the Clone Wars Cartoon in conjunction with the toys. Kids of all ages (even 26) love to see our favorite characters do cool stuff so we can buy their action figures. I want kids to love the Clone Wars cartoon and I want them to love the figures. The more they buy, the better it is for us.

Australia's Daily Telegraph reports on an additional reason for Anakin's look in Episode 3:

Stylists have been working on Hayden Christensen's and Ewan McGregor's locks to give them shaggy 70s-style dos so Episode III blends seamlessly with Episode IV - filmed more than 20 years ago.

Sounds cool to me! Disco fantastic is how I like my Star Wars!

My ideas for Screen Scenes...

*Mas Amedda, Chancellor Palpatine, and Sly Moore from the Senate scene where Palps gets absolute—I mean—emergency power. AOTC

*Jedi Luke, Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine (seated) from ROTJ.

*Nute Gunray, Rune Haako and Darth Sidious hologram on walking projector.

*Assorted senator three packs? (three Quarren senators from AOTC, three "walrusman" senators also from AOTC, etc.)

*Tonnika Sisters and hookah-smoking guy in Cantina, with semi-circular section of bar that connects to the previous pieces. (or any three from the cantina)

Sent you mail!!! :D

Hey, let him enjoy his hair. By the end of the movie he's going to be balder than Terry Bradshaw.

That set is cool...almost too cool...

When is it being released? Honestly, I think this will be the last set to sell well. The next ones (bounty hunters, Jedi) seem like they'll sit around forever.

I haven't preordered a case since POTJ, so I haven't noticed anything different. I'm just a kid at heart, so I'm getting impatient. And its an excellent case, too! :D
