Awesome early score! So how hard was it to swap out the figures? I'm very keen to see all the different asortments they will have for the Clone Wars set. Wonder if there will be any differentiation among the Avengers sets too...

Wow, I actually found remnants of Wave 3 at Walmart tonight! I was so happy to finally see Aayla Secura on the pegs that I didn't even stress over the fact that Nom Anor eluded me once again.

A nice consolation was the fact that this was apparently the revision wave with Wedge, and he was still there. It was literally the first time I had ever seen this figure on a peg so I snagged that as well.

And this was at a Walmart that has sucked FOREVER seemingly. I'm willing to check anyplace now after seeing that.

I also stopped by Target and saw most of the Malgus wave, with the exception of Malgus himself.

Still hoping to see Nom out there, and the Tarkin wave as well. Maybe for BF...

I made a rare Target run tonight and saw the Dropship again too. I'm good with 3 though, so I left it for the next lucky soul. It is a sweet little ship, no doubt.

Thanks! That makes sense now!

Sounds like an old "What If..." premise

Ok, I'm sorry for not being in on the joke, but WTF is a "Bag Head"?

Which figure is this?

New hi-res photos of this wave are up over at RS. (Including Darth Maul single carded)

So...yeah, what about that articulation?

Jet Pack clone has articulated knees, elbows, wrists, etc. Obi and Rex both have enhanced articulation from their 2012 versions. These are definitely an improvement from this year's offerings, but seem pretty far away from the 5 POA we are being told to expect. Maybe in successive waves?

Anyways, it's a ho hum first wave, hope it does not linger like the first wave of this year. Yoda packaging looked alright.

I received this today, and was overall very impressed with the item itself as well as my initial experience ordering from Item was carefully packed, with no defects, and arrived quickly with a confirmation email to boot. Very pleased.

I actually am more excited seeing this in person than I felt previously. Plo is a snoozer but the other clones have really cool decos and even Wolffe is noticeably altered from the single carded version. Moreso than I expected.

I would definitely have picked up an extra 1-2 of these sets when they hit the inevitable in-store clearances, but I don't know if they'll ever get low enough online to justify that indulgence.

Oh, and I'm officially 100% done with this line for the year. For stuff I "need" anyway. Yay!

I'm probably down for about five total.  8)

Not just the Mando Transports though, I'm eyeing the V-19/Droid Gunship pack too, and probably the Assault Cannon. Maybe the Xanadu Blood as well.

It's just one of those stupid good deals that compel me to buy more than I normally would just because.

I actually feel like this season has been the best one yet, and the pacing is WAY more dynamic than all that time they spent chillaxing on the Farm last year. That stuff really dragged, esp with all the Shane/Lori nonsense. At least we've moved beyond that.

For me, the problem I wrestle with is knowing where all this stuff goes in the comic and trying to piece it together in my head, rather than just letting the storyline evolve naturally. And then you start getting that whole impatience vibe cause you know they are building up to something and kinda wish they would just hurry up and get there, rather than enjoying the ride.

Lots of strong performances in this episode though, esp liked Darryl and Hershel. Glad to see Carol got her reprieve as well.

Agree that the whole "expert tracker" thing is being way overdone and does not seem realistic. Michonne had a hellacious head start on those rednecks. And I also agree that the whole notion of wasting time and energy tracking her down was ridiculous. Didn't Merle JUST ASK Philip last episode if they were going to have a problem with Michonne? And he said no? And now he's sending off 4 people to look for her? Wouldn't it have just been easier to kill her in Woodbury?

As great as it would have been to see Michonne cut off Merle's head, or at least intervene when he gets the drop on Glyn and Maggie, I can see why they wanted to milk that a little more. He's got a lot of bad stuff left to do before he dies.

Really, really sick of the Philip/Andrea thing already. She is a complete fing moron. Her character is SO poorly written too, she is all over the map morally and psychologically. First she screws Shane and now this. It's like she looking for guys to bang that are begging to get killed by Rick. And what about the black haired chick who was laying in Philip's bed just 2 episodes ago?

I do hope we've seen the last of the phone thing. I think they got the point across and no need to dwell on his craziness. Nice to see Rick come back to the fold near the end there. I wish I could have heard what Lori said better though, it was all static-y when she finally got on.

And oh yeah, poor Maggie. Something tells me she is going to find her stay in Woodbury particularly unpleasant.  :(

Maybe watching this show late at night on Saturdays is not the best time for me, I can barely remember what happens each week now. Sometimes that's for the best though.

For a second I thought I had tuned into "A Bug's Life" or "Madagascar 3" both of which had that EXACT SAME PLOT DEVICE. A circus?!?! Seriously?

So what was Hondo's big plan for making profit off of Ahsoka anyway? She astutely points out that the Republic would never pay a ransom and the Separatists can't be trusted. Who was he going to sell her to - the Brothers Maul? Didn't seem like they got along too well the first time. Maybe Death Squad?

LOVED the space battle. Loved the Z-95's or whatever those things were buzzing around with the Y-Wing bombers. (Seriously, make that Hasbro) Even Grievous' shuttle would make for kind of a cool ship I think.

Methinks Huyang needs some more screen time to merit an action figure, but that was probably a long shot anyway. Damn.

I'll take a Gungi and Byph, and even the Rodian nerd, but no more punk human kids. And they can't make Baby Stass Allie/Adi Gallia until they give us the grown-up version first.

The Clone Wars '08-'13 / Re: Walmart Black Friday 8-Packs
« on: November 19, 2012, 08:44 AM »
Not sure where else to post this, but am curious about the new Walmart 8-pack assortments.

Other than the Yakface report, is there any specific info out there about what the precise case assortments will be available? There appear to be several.

Also, more importantly, when should we expect to see these on display in Walmarts? I would assume by Black Friday but maybe later.

Curious what other may be hearing/seeing...thanks!

I finally saw this thing this past week at TRU's so huge they just left it sitting in the middle of the aisle. No shelf space available. I've seen it migrate around a few times but last time I checked it was still there. Curious to see if it survives Black Friday...

Wow, that's shocking...some of those are great assortments!

I may have to bite, hoping one of those has the single carded Mando as well...

Yeah, I'm not too worried about it really. The whole genesis of the idea was based on a comment over at the GH forum where one of the mods suggested buying the thing now and getting a price adjustment on BF. That seems like an even more remote possibility though. I think I'd have better odds bringing it back and saying i want to re-purchase on a different card and having them re-ring the thing up again. They'd probably just balk at adjusting the price just off the receipt.

I'm planning on being there at 9pm when they open up on Thanksgiving anyway, so we'll see.
