So what's the deal with this Con? Does Hasbro have a booth, display cases, or what? Is there any likelihood of seeing/hearing about anything new prior to their presentation tomorrow?

I like "Toy Hunters", but

I think the "Collection Intervention" show was bad. The host's view on collecting, I think, is horrible.

I finally watched the first episode of "CI" last night and have to agree. It's a very poorly scripted, poorly conceived effort that had no depth or soul whatsoever. It's like, "hey, let's put these freaks on TV so we can all laugh at them and roll our collective eyes".

I was really hoping for something much more akin to Hoarders, which actually attempts to help people make real life-adjustments rather than brow-beating them into selling stuff off for quick cash.

The host of this show should be a psychologist, not an auctioneer. The woman that hosts now should just be brought in at the end to help handle the sales aspect and nothing else. There's no attempt to address how the people got to this point or how they can approach things in the future. It's all just about getting rid of the stuff.

And the subjects themselves? Ugh, where to start? They struck me as oddball, half-assed accumulators of swag, moreso than informed, astute collectors. The SW chick didn't even know what she had, and her collection was so random it couldn't possibly be complete in any one area. None of the vintage figs they showed of hers had any of their original weapons, and the modern Legacy/Clone Wars/etc stuff was just thrown together with no rhyme or reason. That's absurd.

The other couple just seemed staged to me. Just struck me as contrived somehow. Like, he has all this stuff he has been compiling for years, and just like that he dumps it all? With barely a wince? That seemed way too easy. They didn't even bother to explain why they were in debt. Was he in debt before? Do they both work? I'm supposed to believe she really never got curious and peeked in his Forbidden Garage of Mystery? Suuure.

Debating whether I want to watch any more of these...not what I was hoping for.

Too bad that won't stop a myriad of scalpers from scooping it up and selling it for an even more insane price on ebay.

That wouldn't be a problem if people would just resist overpaying for figures. There are too many people out there willing to overspend on stuff which creates that sort of secondary surge.

Hasbro could also easily remedy this by going back to selling individually carded figures on their own website.

After how many times I heard people rationalize the poor showing for the Clone Wars line at SDCC by saying they were holding things back for CVI, I damn sure hope they have something to show off that has not already been leaked.

Seems like a good place to unveil the Yoda branding for next year too...

Just read this morning that the upcoming season of "The Office" will be its last.

They just came to this conclusion 2 years too late.

I've watched the show religiously since it debuted, but it has become a real effort since Steve left. It actually wasn't even that great with him the last couple of seasons.

I just hope someone comes to their senses/sobers up and put the kibosh on that rumored Dwight spin-off.

I saw a couple of these last night at Walmart for the first time, $129.96.

Good luck with that!

My local Kohl's just re-stocked yesterday with a full case of Clone Wars figures...

Wave 1.  >:(

It figures the one Kohl's that restocks Clone Wars figures and DOESN'T put out Wave 3 is the one near me. I haven't read a single store report anywhere of Kohl's restocking Wave 1 swag. Lucky me.

The best part? They're $14.99.   ::)

It's like that store just took off from a running start and kicked me as hard as they could right in the grapes.

I wonder if any of this stuff will ever show up at my local Walmart or Target? I am SO sick of seeing the same old figures on the pegs...

Unbelievably, I was able to pick up Scuba Ahsoka, Wolffe, and the training SBD today at lunch thanks to a fellow collector who kindly stashed them for me at a Walmart in the boondocks. Cards are not all minty, so will keep hunting some MOC versions for the collection. But still a huge relief to at least have these things in hand.

This is not one of the stores that is part of my normal rotation, but I have yet to see signs from any of the other 5 Walmarts I frequent weekly. Still, reason to keep trying.

Kohl's was a bust again today. Wonder if it would help get things moving if I bought up their remaining pegwarmers? Not sure how that store works...seems like they just throw out whatever they have.

Dropship...keep forgetting they made it.

I watched some stop motion video on youtube some kid made recently, there was the dropship! I've never seen one, how'd this kid get it?

Can you post a link to that video? I am trying to research these "mystery clones" and it's proving to be quite the rabbithole...any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I've watched RGIII the last 4 years in Big 12 games. Pit him against a decent DT and he crumbles. See Miller, Von. And in the NFCE alone he has to face Demarcus Ware and Justin Tuck.

Luckily, he doesn't have to block those guys...they have 5 other dudes to take care of that.

Now, if they get through those 5 guys, I agree he is going to be in trouble. Like every other quarterback in the NFL would be...

Wow, dude jumped off a bridge.

Always a surpise to see someone so successful choose to go out like that. Maybe he had health issues?

This deal is getting worse all the time. It's a moot point though, as stores in my town have stopped ordering new Star Wars toys altogether. sigh.

Also those early Clone Wars clones (1st head sculpt) with green stripes that IIRC, were only found on eBay. Star Wars Clone Wars Grey Clone Trooper Green

Hold on, what's all this then? I don't recognize those figures from any multipack or single carded release. What's the deal? I can't believe I haven't heard about this before...any details you can pass along would be much appreciated.

The Dropship had a very limited retail appearance at a few places earlier this year, but more as a fluke, that wave has yet to really start shipping other than to online stores. I am hoping we see a few more of these as they year goes on too, or at least that Hasbro will actually put this thing up on their website for sale.
