Watto's Junk Yard / Re: What does your JD forum member name mean?
« on: April 13, 2005, 11:29 AM »
Well, my JD Forum Name was originally the name of my favorite Gundam Mobile Suit design - Gundam Nataku.

I figured with Gundam so closely related to SW, it was a good fit, so I started using the name when I registered with the TradeFederation and it stuck... until now.

I've decided that in honor of Celebration 3, I am going to slowly phase out my "Nataku" moniker and just go by my "regular" name, Jeff.

I figure, most of you guys know my name is Jeff anyway, so why not just step all the way out from behind the curtain and finally join the "Guys Who Use Their 'Real' Name" club?   ;)

Look for "Nataku" to be phased out this week as "Jeff" is phased in. :)

Kubricks / Re: 400% Kubricks

Eek! This thing is ******* huge!  :o   280 millimeters is equal to 11.02 inches.

My friend has the DC Direct 400% Batman, and yeah, it's about 1 foot (12") tall - huge!

This Fett is really really cool, but at $56 retail, I won't be surprised to see him fetch $200+ on the eBay market, and that's just the starting bid!  :(

Probably gonna count myself out on this one and use my left-over C3 cash to chase Logray down...

Mine is of the Tenth Doctor.

It's a shame about Nine, because he has been brilliant in the new series.

He does kind of have a "rat-like" face, I can see how you'd like him.   ;)

JD Sports Forum! / Re: NHL Offseason
« on: April 12, 2005, 04:36 PM »
In honor of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs, which would have started tomorrow, I've decided that the tradition should live on through my NGC.  I've got NHL 2005 all set, the machine played out the 2004-2005 season last night and here were the results:

Eastern Conference:

1.  Tampa Bay  vs.  8.  Montreal

2.  Boston  vs.  7.  Atlanta

3.  Philiadelphia  vs.  6.  Toronto

4.  Ottawa  vs.  5.  New Jersey

Western Conference:

1.  San Jose  vs.  8.  Edmonton

2.  Detroit  vs.  7.  St. Louis

3.  Colorado  vs.  6.  Minnesota

4.  Vancouver  vs.  5.  Dallas

As my Nintendo GameCube simulates the games each night, I'll post the results here... it's just like the NHL, only it's fake!   :P

Stay tuned to find out who will win The 2005 JediDefender Nintendo GameCube Stanley Cup!

I think in this era, a 3-pack for $20 sounds about right.  That's about what the TRU Cinema Scenes went for, so I wouldn't be surprised if that's what these go for too...

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Question For The Banned
« on: April 12, 2005, 02:01 PM »
When you are initially banned, you lose all access to the forums - the Threads, PMs, everything.  You won't have any access until you "reset" or delete your internet "cookies".

Once you go in and delete your "cookie" for RS, you would then be able to go back there and read the forums, but you just won't be able to participate/reply or use the PM feature.  If you try to log into the banned account again, it will reset your "cookie", then you'd have to repeat the "delete cookie" step to be able to see the fourms again...

Revenge of the Sith / Re: Target Figure with Cup Sets
« on: April 12, 2005, 01:27 PM »
Just out of curiosity, has anyone seen these at retail since the opening weekend?  I went to Target right away on April 2 morning, and they had all three, but I left the Grievous one thinking I could get it later.  Last I saw they were still online, but I was wondering if anyone else is still seeing these at retail?  I wonder if this was a "one shot deal" type of thing or not?

Oops...check that, I see now that all three are out of stock at Target.com.

Here in MN, I see the Grievous and Obi-Wan sets from time to time, but the Clone Trooper Cup Sets are no where to be found...

Of course, we kinda figured that'd be the hardest of the 3 to nab.  $10 for an army builder and cup isn't a bad deal!  Much better than $10 for a cup and a Sneak Preivew re-hash...  :P

My first deal with Jim went very smoothly.

He was quick to respond to my PMs and quick to get me my $$$.   ;)

Thanks again, Jim!  Your figures will be in the mail today/tomorrow...

I'll make enough for you and the roomies though...

See that, J-MAC!  She said you have to share with the roomies!  :)

Yep, stock up on them while you can.  I totally agree with that theory.

Yeah, I kinda thought the same thing so I picked up 2 more when they were still on sale for $5 at Target... I have a total of 4 so far.

Maybe best if you stick to the fellas who are more your age, like Brent and Dale.  What's the deal with all you Canadian old farts, anway?!   :P

I believe the "Canuck Theorum" states that the farther north you go, the faster the Earth rotates, therefore time moves faster and the Canukians age more rapidly...

Yeah, that's the ticket... yeah...

I've been listening to this one all weekend...

I'm 80s Mod down to the core and I'm really glad they are still putting out new music.   :)

JD Sports Forum! / Re: Golf
« on: April 11, 2005, 03:23 PM »
Yeah eventually, but for a few years it'd all be 5 feet tall.  It was very pretty too, blues and reds mixed in to the greens.

Yeah, a few times we drove past there, the grass was really cool... seemed so strange though that the golf course was over-grown like that.

Imagine all the woodticks living in there...  :-\
