Clone Wars '03-'05 / Re: Animated Wave 3 (and beyond)?
« on: November 18, 2004, 02:32 PM »
Well, the nice thing is that these will be available everywhere (NOT Target exclusive), so at least we'll have more places to look for the chase Clone Trooper Colors... :-\

Huh.  I think you're right, Scott...

It does kinda have that "Eva Peron" looking Madonna feel to it... much more so than The Madonna anyway.  Besides, The Madonna is much too busy appearing in Tortillas and Fruit to waste her time with Grilled Cheese... ::)

Got this from the guys over there...

----------------------

Guys,

Yakface will be back up hopefully soon. Our server provider's systems went down a couple of days ago, and they are working around the clock to get us back on-line.

thanks,

Bill@yakface.com

--------------------------

The echostation link works, but they are still having some technical glitches with the Yakface name.

Jeff, where did you get the images?  Are these showing up?  Sandtroopers.com claim they are.  Anyone?

Got the image from a source who picked them up in Asia.

I haven't seen any confirmed sightings of this wave in the USA yet (confirmed meaning a pic w/receipt), just a lot of conjecture and rumors so far.

They are still listed as November arrival date at EE, so they could show up soon though  :-\

Here's a nice photo of the 3 Cantina Dudes all lined up together...

It's gonna be interesting to see that first picture of the un-tentacled nose of Dannik...  :-\

Revenge of the Sith / Re: Episode III - Preview Figures (SPOILERS)
« on: November 17, 2004, 11:42 AM »
I think you're meaning, these are official pics...not these were found in stores...right?

Either way, these look a ton better than the Episode II preview figs, can't wait to get them all :)

Yeah, not out in stores yet, but fully flushed out in official Hasbro pictures...

They look pretty good, much better than Episode 2, I agree.

Tonight, I sold Scott an extra Kubrick Jawa he didn't need in order to get a OTC Scanning trooper and some cash out of him!

Thanks again for helping me out with the OTC Scanning dude!    :-*

I think hopefully we'll have another nice Hooters group shot to throw in here sometime next week!  That is, if Jim isn't afraid to let the world see his mug...  Scott, Jeff, and I have already publicly humiliated ourselves in here though, so nothin' new coming on our ends.  But hopefully we'll nab another hot waitress for the shot!   8)

Well, you've all waited and waited and your reward is here!

While some of the gang is still out on the town trying to get J-MAC to puke, I'm home to document the first half the evening...

The Twin Cities JediDefender.com Star Wars Collector Club got together tonight to honor SoCal hero JediMAC as he was nice enough to drop by for a visit.

From Left to Right we've got:
Hooters Girl, chuckles, JediMAC, Nataku (me), Wuss-Boy (aka SpaceMantis), Scott (aka OCB), and infinitifett.

We got together, had some drinks, ate some food, and discussed many SW topics such as how much JD.com kicks ass and such.

Of course, as is often the case, things turned ugly when J-MAC got some drinks in him.  During the discussion of the Wolves superiority over the Lakers, J-MAC snapped and attacked poor Scott with his SoCal Lakers French Fry...

Other than the french fry incident, everyone had a good time and I look forward to tipping a few with JediMAC (and the rest of our crew) again at C3.  :)

Jeff

ps.
Quote of the night?  When JediMAC asked the waitress if she was "loose or carded?"

I heartily support the decision!  I would also encourage Scum to add General Windu, YodaBoi, and Dark Kanos next.  That trio would be able to keep Scum safe for illiterate posters everywhere banning all those who mock their inability to use the grammar correctly.

Imagine...

'I saw thet a guy who wuz the forums tryed to post a politcol thred and I baned him!"

Original Trilogy Collection / Re: VOTC/OTC Purchases
« on: November 16, 2004, 12:04 PM »
Here's the stuff that is still on my "needs" list that I will probably find in 2004:
* 2005 Cantina Wave (due Nov. from EE)
* OTC-38 Imperial Trooper (x2)
* TRU Jedi Scene 3 and 4

Well, I just nabbed the TRU Jedi Scenes 3 & 4 off Amazon.com (threw in a vOTC figure to get to $49 and qualify for free shipping) and I'll be getting some help tonight and picking up the Imperial Scanning Troopers I need (thanks Scott and Matt!  :-*), so I guess I'm done shopping until next year.  I just need to sit back and wait for EE to ship me my Cantina wave figures and I'm set.  :)

It'll be real nice if I can avoid the toy stores during the Holiday shopping season.  Those Pre-Christmas TRUs are packed with vile "no manners, me first" type of shoppers.  Ick. Somehow, TRU has 50 times the traffic during the Holidays as they do the rest of the year, but still manage to open only 3 check-out stands...  ::)

Of course, watch, now something else from 2005 will slip into the Holiday shopping season and wreck my whole plan...   :-\
