So now they are banning JD members and staff members for no reason?

Yes, it would appear that it's house cleaning time over at RS and many who have preached the word of JD are being shown the door - CHEWIE, J-MAC, jokabofe, etc...

Revenge of the Sith / Re: Holo Yoda?
« on: March 31, 2005, 12:14 PM »

You have got to be kidding me... just two days before hand they change their minds?

From Toys "R" Us (via their new pimp):

Limited quantities of the Hasbro Star Wars Revenge of the Sith Holographic Yoda figure will be available to purchase. Limit one per customer while supplies last.

SO, if you want to BUY Yoda, show up on Midnight Madness.  If you want him for FREE, wait until April 10th and hope your store still has some left...   ::)

Make a frickin' decision and stick with it ya bastards!   >:(

Guess I am DEFINATELY headed to TRU for MM to try to get one/two...

Yeah, this is another one of those case (like TF Vader) where the packaging is what really sells me on this figure.

I love the re-use of the vOTC clamshell idea as well as the backer card that makes the figure less "rounded".

I plan on keeping this guy carded and put up on the wall, if I don't snag a second for the loose collection, that is fine with me.  I probably wouldn't open it anyway.

I almost forgot about the 3 pack evolution sets...were not these supposed to be available this Sat.?

I think that the Evolution sets are coming later -
Evolutions Thread

EE has them listed for July arrival...

Now should I get 2 of each or 3 of each I dont want to be a pig and hog all the clones up

I doubt you will find anyone here who will tell you how to collect... like everyone else has said, buy what you want to buy, don't buy what you don't want to buy.

Simple as that.  ;)

I've sent word to my Targt contacts, but have yet to receive any answers about what the deal is with the Cup Exclusive and any of the later exclusives.   :'(

It would be hilarious (and painfully obvious what would happen) for Dustin to speak his mind here.  It'd no doubt cost him his gig over there so there is no way he'd say anything here.

It is fun to watch all the traffic here though... quite a few of RS's mods/admins have been over here for a look-see and no doubt are discussing this ****-storm over in their secret admin forums.

I still think that the SPAM mail sucked, but I understand it was a part of the "business" side of RS.  I get that - money is the end reason for actions over at RS now, not the users.  It's a hobby that became a business.

I just think it was pretty crappy to tell off his forum members the way he did with a "if you don't like it you can go home" attitude.  Very un-professional, but I guess if I had to deal with all the dumbasses over there on a regular basis like he does, my patience would be worn thin too.   :P

Revenge of the Sith / Re: RotS - Deluxe Figures
« on: March 31, 2005, 10:53 AM »
Clonetrooper 3-pack...

unfortunately it looks like the clonetrooper packs are going to be just like the Clone Wars ones, except with ROTS clones...  :( -- I would have preferred SA clones of varying paint-ops

Looks like those who guessed the CW 3-pack were right on the money.  This set looks exactly like the other one, just with new heads.  It isn't a bad thing - it's $10 for 3 Army builders, and I'll take that happily.

You can add my name to the list of people who hope these come out in multiple flavors/colors just like the CW line did - Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, and White.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: RotS Wookiee Helicopter with Wookiee
« on: March 31, 2005, 10:47 AM »
Here's a pick from the new Hasbro product catalogue - Wookie looks REALLY pre-posed to fit in the vehicle, but IMHO, I'd rather have that then no figure that fits in it at all...

Thanks for copying out the pic, Pete.

I like it.  I'll be sure to add this to my collection.  The pre-posed wookiee is a little disappointing, but par for the course for these smaller vehicles so far (like the BARC or AT-RT).

I think that Dune-Wing ship is a lame attempt of making SW = Transformers, but hey, it will probaly sell to some of the kiddies.

In fact, my nephew might actually like that dune buggy thingymajob. He is really into his Playskool "GoBots" and transformers right now, that is probably exactly the kind of thing he'd get a kick out of (SW canon be damned  :P).

JD Sports Forum! / Re: MLB Regular Season - 2005
« on: March 31, 2005, 09:59 AM »

I've watched a few Spring games and I think that we are close enough to the start of the season for me to climb out on the proverbial limb...

Jeff's Picks for 2005:

AL East - Boston
AL Central - Minnesota  8)
AL West - California (I refuse to call them LA or even Anaheim  :P)
Wild Card - New York

I think the Red Sox win last year will go a long way to boosting their confidence against the pinstripes allowing them to take their first AL East title in a while, but the Yanks will still skirt into the playoffs with the WC.  My Twins will take the Central easy after a pre-All Star Break scare (like they do every year), but this time it'll be the Tigers - not Chicago or Cleveland who hang around.  Seattle could give California a run for their money, but the Angel's pitching will put them over the top.

NL East - Atlanta
NL Central - St. Louis
NL West - San Diego
Wild Card - Florida

Atlanta holds off the Fish, thanks to Smoltz renewed place in the rotation.  Prior and Wood break down allowing the Red Birds to get past the lovable losers.  And upstarts San Diego use their youth to slip past the aging Bond-less Giants and the self-destructive, imploding Dodgers.

ALCS - Boston vs. Minnesota
NLCS - Atlanta vs. St. Louis

World Series - Minnesota over Atlanta (in 6 games)

Yeah, I know it's a total Homer pick, but I gotta show my true colros...  ;D

Even with some decent trades or free agent signings, they'll still suck.  Have fun Phil!   :-*

I've been hearing a lot of "he said/she said" rumors that King James people are saying that if Phil heads to the Knicks, Lebron may just end up there too...

Nothing like Team Loyalty in the NBA, eh?

Well, nice to see that it's not just Lava Vader popping up on eBay early...  ::)

Holographic Yoda on eBay

The same seller has 13 up now, and there are quite more out there too.

And $50+ for these things?  Has everyone gone MAD?

I got that ad in last sunday's paper here in MN... you might want to stop into the local WM and see if they still have them laying around.

Sorry for the crappy pic, but taking pictures of newspaper ads is obviously not my camera's strong suit.  :(

edit - just checked and the ad is on-line at too...
