Marcus wasn't established much in Raiders though to NOT have him be a bumbling dolt

Raiders Marcus said of the Ark, "Five years ago, I would have gone after it myself."  Just from that one line you know that he's had his share of adventures, too.

Crusade Marcus, on the other hand, doesn't know his way around Abu Dhabi or wherever the **** it was, and makes all kinds of goofy jokes and nearly falls off his horse at the end.

He might as well have been a completely new character, 'cause he was "Marcus Brody" in name only.

I didn't think Sallah was turned into anything bad really either.

Nothing as horrible as what Marcus was turned into, but still he seemed like a bit of a clown compared to Raiders Sallah.

I have to agree.  When I saw Last Crusade, I totally wondered why suddenly Marcus and Sallah had become C-3PO and R2-D2.

If you look back at the movie, there are times when they share almost the same dialogue... example:

Marcus - "Oh, Sallahl What a relief!" (IJ Last Crusade)

I think they even made a joke about Marcus getting lost in his own museum once...

Anyone know when New Force usually ships?

It depends on when they get their stuff from Hasbro...  :P

Lately they've been a bit ahead of retail and actually, New Force already started shipping Wave 5:

From the NewForceComics.com front page:

SW wave 5
August 30, 2007 | 4:39 PM | newforce1

We have received a very small quantity of wave 5 cases that will all ship out Friday.

I think they got about 20-30% of their order.  If you weren't in that first batch, it will be another 2-3 weeks or so at least.  Rick usually updates the front page of NewForce when they get allocations from Hasbro and then it's about 2 weeks after that they get them in hand for shipping...

Exactly.  That's a single basic carded 3.75" figure.  It should sell for $6-7.

Hey now to be fair it's only a 240% mark up... that Shadow Scout Speederbike was around 250% mark-up, so this is a deal in comparison!   :P

Here is the further clarification, straight from Hasbro:

There are TWO list changes from last week.  The major one is the removal of Han Solo (VOTC) from eligibility because there is a high likelihood that he will be used in another set and will not be available.  Instead, the next highest-rated figure, R3-A2 from the Battle of Hoth mullti-pack.  The Bespin Guard listing has been corrected - it is not possible to vote for "black ethnicity" since no such figure was released.  Instead, the listing will be corrected to say "Bespin Guard (Power of the Jedi)"

Voting will run for 14 days and the top 5 vote-getters will be used as the final wave of Saga Legends.

Hmmm...don't see VOTC Han Solo on the list anymore, that's disappointing.  It looks like he's been replaced by R3-A2, which is a good choice as well, but I'd really like to see that Han at retail again

It's entirely possible that the reason they removed him is that he was slated to make it back to retail in some other way...

Also, if Blue Snag makes the top 5, he will likely be packed with the bar "straight" piece and stool.

That would be a nice bonus as Blue Snag is a relatively low-articulated figure.  Would be an easy way to get more bar pieces out there...

And, I guess I'm not surprised about the PotJ Bespin Dude.  I was interested if they were going to do an alternate head, but without a new head, he's a big time pass for me now.   :-\

I'm kind of disappointed with no Flash or GL so far as well, but I figure they are spreading the "big guns" out a bit.

Yeah, it makes sense that they'd spread the big 7 out.

Only problem is that it seems like these Mattel lines never last long enough to get to wave 4/5.   :P

I'm still disappointed that we are two waves in with no signs of any GLs.   :'(

Perhaps DC is saving the GLC for the DC Direct stuff?

What Adam was talking about was changes that Hasbro has made to upcoming case assortments.

There were two upcoming cases that were supposed to contain the 501st Trooper - Wave 3, Revision 2 and Wave 4, Revision 2.  But, the ratio changed for both those cases and now neither case is scheduled to contain a 501st trooper (replaced by an R2-D2 and Destroyer Droid, respectively).

So, that means that after the Wave 2 cases ship (with the #65 sculpt 501st), there will not be a 501st slotted in a case until at least Wave 5, which isn't due until Nov/Dec.  It's easy to see how Nov/Dec could slip to "next year", especially if Hasbro adjusts those cases as well...

As long as Scott autograph's my card...I'll take two  ;)

I want more than an autograph, I want a kiss.

I'm planning on inviting Scott over to my house for a Willrow themed sleep-over party...
