Crazy that they are going to have a Matt Trakker figure in this line, although probably no crazier than the Fridge, Sgt Slaughter or Rowdy Roddy Piper.

Who is the Matt Takker figure?  I don't recall seeing that before.

He's from an awesome toyline from the 80's.

While the concept is cool I would have rather had Alpine instead. This line is going to take a back seat to that God awful movie coming. Every slot is precious.
I loved MASK as a kid and I am sure I will dig this figure in any case. I really want Alpine.

I thought Hasbro said that this line would be running along side the movie stuff?  Those QnA's are spotty though, so maybe I misread?  I do know that the movie figs will carry the same look/scale though.

He has nothing to do with the Joe line, and I don't really understand his release myself....But perhaps this is a sign that Hasbro will be upgrading the M.A.S.K. line?  I wouldn't mind and I'd probably be all over them with new vehicles.

Apparently I wasn't asking the question in the right way.  I wanted to know why Matt Trakker was mentioned above in relation to the GI Joe line.

For those, like me, that hadn't heard, there's a Specialist Trakker figure listed for the GI Joe line later this year and there's a Wal-Mart computer entry for him as well.  I guess the speculation is that it's Matt Trakker from the M.A.S.K. line.

Who are the Joes with the Dillo and RAM?  Random generic greenshirts or are they half-assing guys like Steeler and putting him in the Armadillo instead of his tank?

Bummer if you bought Serpentor and wanted the Armadillo...  That'd suck having two of a guy I know I personally didn't care for.

Half-assing Steeler with the Armadillo and Breaker with the RAM.

I really hope that Tele-Viper comes out on a single card.  I just don't have room for the vehicles and I don't want to buy stuff I don't want to get one figure.

JJ....this is hasbro...so not Half-ass...its Has-Ass.  This line has the same affliction that SW has, only in Joe I am less upset by repaints...

EU however...I know this won't be a popular stance, but why is Matt Tracker in Joe?  Yes I know MASK was a toy line in 80's, I get the who "Joe meets Transformers" aspect of it, but here is my take..IF the classic characters we know are truly going to keep coming out side by side with the Movie figures next year, I don't have a problem. IF the classic characters disappear for the Movie figures (like when OT disappears during ANY kind of PT or Clone Wars push) then I am going to be mad that we lost a spot for another Joe..EVEN IF IT WAS A REPAINT of any REAL Joe.  Heck, I would take Cobra-La before we started seeing Joe EU. (and for the record, Cobra La is my least favorite set of characters in recorded history).

So I am reserving the right to be displeased...will I buy it either way?  Probably...they could pretty much crap in a box and call it GI Joe and I'll buy it...look at my Sigma Six collection for proof...

Okay.  That's kind of....odd?

Kind of interesting, though.  If I can pick one up for cost on HTS.com after the show I might do it but I won't cry if I miss out.

SDCC Cobra Commander

John

WTF  ???   Did I miss an episode of G.I. Joe back in the day?   Oh, that's right - I never read the comics just as many other fans as the toys were a bit more important to me as a child.   woo-hoo and stuff.

This is a super lame exclusive.   ::)

Great, another SDCC exclusive I won't be able to get and will be available from Hasbro months later, AFA graded, for an insane price.
