I think I read something about how the Yularen supporters were hoping that Hasbro would fix the pants to the correct color if he was re-released.

Something about he should have Black pants or something like that... ???

As for me, I think I've settled on the following for my top five:

- Bespin Guard (black ethnicity)
- Chewbacca (Early Bird kit)
- Gungan Warrior (Fambaa set exclusive)
- Stormtrooper (Vintage OTC)
- Zutton (Blue Snaggletooth)

It wouldn't surprise me to see those three end up in comic packs next year or something.  There was a recent issue that featured the Amanin species, Durge is a CW comic possibility, and the Spacetrooper could be another Thrawn Trilogy comic pack with the rumored Thrawn or Karrde figures.

The Vintage Collection / Re: Hasbro Q&A Sessions

Man, you're fast!

Anyway, yeah - the new Q&A session has been posted.

And yeah, they totally biffed the answer to that coin question since there are only 80 spaces in the album.   :P

A few folks have been asking about that Droideka shield and Hasbro was kind enough to send along a new pic with the Q&A this week -

click for a better look ;)

Straight from the Big H:

- 20 sites sent in top 10 lists
- 67 individual figures were named in the polls
- only 3 figures were dropped because some version was already planned for 2008: Durge, the EU Spacetrooper, and Amanin (Amanaman)

Here are the "fan choice" top 20 (in alphabetical order):

1. ARC Trooper (Clone Wars) red & gray #43 (Saga)
2. Bespin Guard (black ethnicity)
3. Chewbacca (Early Bird kit)
4. Clone Trooper (Treachery on Saleucami 2007 exclusive)
5. Clone Trooper Pilot w/ball turret (Saga '02 #49)
6. Coleman Trebor (Saga)
7. Colonel Wulf Yalaren (Death Star Briefing Room 2006 exclusive)
8. Commander Neyo (Treachery on Saleucami 2007 exclusive)
9. Covert Ops Clone Trooper (2005 exclusive)
10. Ephant Mon (Saga)
11. Graxol Kelvyyn (Watto's Box)
12. Gungan Warrior (Fambaa set exclusive)
13. Han Solo (Vintage OTC)
14. Pablo-Jill (EpIII/OTC bridge line)
15. Shadow Stormtrooper (2006 exclusive)
16. Sio Bibble (Episode I)
17. Stormtrooper (Vintage OTC)
18. Utapau Shadow Trooper (2007 exclusive)
19. Zev Senesca (Snowspeeder Pilot)
20. Zutton (Blue Snaggletooth)

Hasbro is currently revamping their polling software to handle the poll, look for the next phase to start next week!

30th Anniversary Collection / Re: 2007 Saga Legends
« on: August 30, 2007, 11:07 PM »
I was looking at my Saga Legends Wave 3 figures tonight as I was putting away some carded figures and I noticed a variation in the RotS Clone Commander figure - he comes with either a gummi Clone Rifle or the Evo Sandtrooper Cannon:

They can be found on eBay, here in our classified forums, or from various overseas e-tailers.

They are not normally available from regular retail outlets in the USA.

The Bullpen / Marvel Legends
« on: August 30, 2007, 04:22 PM »
So tell me again why Hasbro bought this license?

Because they wanted to get thier hands on the Marvel Movie Money lines - Spidey3, Spidey 4, Iron Man, New Hulk, FF2, FF3, etc etc etc.  I don't think they really wanted the Legends line.  I simply think it was a way for them to get some stuff out in between movies and a cheaper way to ramp up the lines/team/sculptors for the movie stuff.  No coincedence that they started putting movie figures right into this line, eh?

No one know exactly how many of the Parco there are.  Estimates range from 150-300 for the show pieces, but there is no official information from Medicom on how many were made.  That is probably why you can't find an answer...

Bape Boba Fett - approximately 150 pieces
Luke Skywalker - originally about 200, but with the club re-release it is believed to be over 1000+
R2-D2 (Droids) - 2004 pieces
Sandtrooper (Black Pad) - approximately 200 pieces
Boba Fett (Droids)    - 2004 pieces
Princess Leia (Hologram) - 2004 pieces
Darth Vader - approximately 300 pieces
Jorg Sacul (X-Wing Pilot) - approximately 250 pieces
Shadow Stormtrooper - 2006 pieces
Han Solo (Carbonite) - approximately 250 pieces

Kubricks / Re: Carded Kubricks
« on: August 24, 2007, 11:55 PM »
Well, I had something really strange happen to me tonight...

I was re-arranging my display shelves and while I was moving some stuff around, I noticed that my Droids R2-D2 bubble had completely detached from the card.  Since it was in an Oscar case, it wasn't noticable until I grabbed the case to move it and the bubble tipped right over in the case.

I tried in vain to re-attach it, but failed miserably.  As a precaution, I went back through the other 9 carded figures I have and they all seem to have nice firmly attached bubbles.  I have no idea what could have caused R2's bubble to pop off - just a weak glue job I guess.   :-\

The thing that was so strange about it was that I had been going back and forth about dropping the cash for another one to open to go with my Droids 3PO, so in a way, I guess fate made the decision for me.   :P

Well of the Souls / speculation

which will later include a vehicle or two from the new movie.

I really think we'll see a TON of stuff from the new movie.  Lucas is waaaaay better at planning for things like that now - I mean, he even gave the Jedi Starfighters costume changes in RotS (red to blue for Obi, yellow to green for Ani).  I'm sure there will be plenty of things thrown into the movie specifically for toys...  plus Adventure Indy, Indy in Inca gear, Indy in suit, Battle Damage Indy, etc etc.

As for kids, I think Lucas & Hasbro are counting on Dads showing kids the old movies either before or after going to see the new movie - that will breed a lot of interest in them.  I've also seen rumors of plans to re-release the Indy movies this winter to get the marketing machine rolling... just like they did with the OT circa 1997 to get the old stuff on the kids radar prior to TPM.
