I think Hasbro does the same thing with their TF exclusives as they do their Star Wars exclusives and that's drop the assortment number from the packaging.  The re-paint Jazz at Target, for example, has a number but no assortment.

The packaging for these new sets have assortment numbers so I'm guessing they're not exclusives.

That is true... when it's a single pack case like Jazz or a vehicle is.  But, when it's an exclusive with an assortment (like the Order 66 sets this past year), Hasbro has had the assortment number on there.

"Johnny Human Touch"

I had a friend whose uncle gave him the "Johnny Human Touch" for Christmas one year...  he was never quite the same after that. 

I waited for the dust to settle and picked up a nice set which arrived today.  Very cool to add another 6 carded figures to the collection. 

At the current prices of the 6-pack, it's really tempting to buy another set just to open the Fett.  If you could sell the  other 5, you'd get a great deal on the Red Gauntlet Chase Fett.   

My pal Mike pointed something out to me today... apparently industry experts are expecting the price of toys to increase about 10% after Christmas (since most stores have their Holiday Orders set already).

The higher oils prices affect so many things - cost of raw materials (plastic), cost of shipping (raw materials and finished goods) plus added costs for the new set of safety testing (at both manufacturer and retailer levels) after all the recent lead-based scares.  It all leads to the presumed price increases...

So, will we see $7.75 for Star Wars figures in 2008?   Will high prices ultimately be what kills the line?

I'm assuming that he's stepping down as the Twins' GM because he doesn't want to be the guy who let Torii Hunter go and/or the guy who traded Johan Santana.   

Something tells me this off-season is really, really going to suck for my club. 


And, as we head into the last couple weeks I have to say I'm pretty shocked by some teams and their performances these last few weeks.  Seattle  and Toronto have tanked it, pretty much killing any chance they had at Wild Card runs.  Really looks like it's just the Yanks and Detroit left to battle it out.  Over in the NL, I'm surprise to see that the NL Central is still up for grabs and even the St. Louis HGH Squad still has an outside chance there.

Last I had heard was that they were postponed until the end of September...

I think LFL is attempting to "erase" Scott... first the ICMG background and next?  Who knows?
